Today as I was walking down Courtenay Place, I passed Martin Freeman going the other way. I did half a double-take, because he was wearing gold-rimmed Raybans (and carrying a leather satchel with swagger), but recognised him just before he passed my peripheral vision.
IDK why I’m even this excited, because hello, I’m in Wellington, I was bound to be in close proximity to a Hobbit...

Failed attempt to make wholemeal shortbread at 1am in my hostel, haha! We’re doing an Art Deco afternoon tea party on Saturday and the oven is temperamental to say the least, so I wanted to test out how well I could use it. Stupid wholemeal flour, I had to add milk and more flour and more butter and more sugar because it wasn’t holding together, and they’re tasty but not...

Those Chris Brown fangirls' tweets: internalised... →
yellowcars:
okay tbh that post with tweets about ‘i’d let chris brown beat me anyday’ is disturbing as fuck. however.
to me it just reeks of internalized misogyny. these girls live in a society that has not punished chris brown for his behavior at all. they live in a society that teaches them that the ultimate form of masculinity is temperamental and strong and violent. they’re desensitized...

TW Domestic Violence
I’m sick and tired of people acting like it’s no big deal that Chris Brown will be performing at the Grammys.
I’m frustrated that the mainstream media is covering this story like it’s any comeback story, like an exiled prince’s return to a former glory, like this is another political timeline — as though some rich and powerful old white men in the music...
